Las Campanas

From Jared Hopkins Clubhouse Manager

Spring is here! Well … according to the Meteorological Calendar at least. I’m writing this as it’s snowing outside, and the Ski Santa Fe Mountain report moves it’s snowfall to 270” for the season. The golf courses are turning green so fast, even under the dusting of snow today. It’s wild to think that we’ll be opening the Torreon Grill in a short time when mother nature has made up her mind. We’re all looking forward to the end of “Juniper” season which I know, firsthand, is the overlooked fifth season in Northern New Mexico. Our team is gearing up for an unforgettable high season that will be here just in time, as your tissue box is running on empty. Chef Jake and the team are working on seasonal menus for the Hacienda that will reflect the change of season. You’ll soon see side dishes, appetizers, soups and other menu items that are sourced primarily from the Las Campanas garden. Chef Jake spent a good amount time at the farmers market last year sourcing produce for special events, and he is happy to save the trip into town this summer and work mostly out of our gardens here. Casual dining on Mondays and Tuesdays will return to the main clubhouse for regular a la carte service beginning Monday, April 15th. We’re planning some fun events at the Log Cabin this summer, so please mark your calendar for June 10th & 11th / July 8th & 9th / August 19th & 20th / September 16th & 17th while details, menus and entertainment are being finalized.
