Margarita Trail & Tapas
“Ghosts Among Us”

Please join us on our first Margarita Trail Tour for a visit to Staab House with the infamous ghost Julia Staab and then off to Drury Kitchen+Bar which is the original site of St. Vincent’s Hospital with a seasoned past all on its own! Babies crying and the sounds of someone running down the halls are claimed to be the major hauntings that occur at this Drury Plaza Hotel. The tour will include Tapas & Signature Margarita from each venue as part of your experience in visiting two of the most popular watering holes with a haunted history in Santa Fe. The Benz Sprinter van will pick the tour up at the Clubhouse & return you.

Habitat & Hydrology
Wednesday, May 18th 9 AM $35+pp
On this 2-hour easy hike, we explore the habitat and hydrology around Two Mile Pond, Santa Fe’s former reservoir, to learn about deforestation and overgrazing, habitat restoration, and where we get our water. Along the way we see beaver ponds, two historic dams, a hydroelectric diversion canal, and an 1895 hydroelectric power station – oh, and beautiful scenery on this nature walk. Please wear comfortable shoes, hat & sunscreen & don’t forget to bring along some hydration! We will meet at the Cerro Gordo trailhead parking.

Introduction to Fly Fishing Class
Tuesday, May 24th & Wednesday, May 25th 9am – 1pm
$275++pp Two Day Class (2-day offsite Trip)
The Reel Life Fly Shop is your premier class to learn how to fly fish in New Mexico !
The class is taught by their experienced guides who are immensely passionate for the sport. They care about teaching each and every student the necessary skills to be self-sufficient on the water.
This class will be composed of 2 sessions: a 4 hour morning class on Tuesday May 24th at the Clubhouse and followed up with a half day off-site, on the water class Wednesday May 25th.
The first session will introduce the student to basic fly fishing terminology, rigging up a rod, knots and casting lessons. The second session on the water will be focused on developing techniques of trout behavior, basic entomology, reading the water, wading safety and hopefully playing, landing and releasing fish !
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
All of the necessary gear to participate in this class is provided for the students. This includes rod, reel, waders, boots, flies and all other terminal tackle. Students will need to stop by The Reel Life Shop to get sized for waders and boots prior to the class.
You will need a valid New Mexico Fishing License to participate in this class. This can be purchased online or at the fly shop and is NOT included in the price of the class. A day license costs $27.
Included in your class is coffee & continental breakfast on Tuesday & a boxed lunch to go on Wednesday.
